We remove CO₂
from the atmosphere
By using proven carbon capture and storage technology.

Our Guiding Principles
We believe in technology
We apply proven carbon capture and safe geological storage solutions to reduce CO₂ emissions from hard-to-abate industries at scale.

Our Guiding Principles
Regional priorities
We engage local communities and industries from the earliest stages of every project to ensure regional alignment and support.

Our Guiding Principles
Together, we scale
We collaborate with industrial partners, governments, and research institutions to accelerate decarbonization.

Community collaboration
About Carboncause
Carboncause is dedicated exclusively to carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) — the proven technology that enables deep decarbonization for industries that cannot reduce emissions by other means. Our mission is to make large-scale CO₂ removal possible by combining technology, partnerships, and community collaboration.
Our Approach
We deliver CCUS projects with an approach built on:
Proven experience in large-scale industrial development
Best-in-class CCUS technology and know-how
A culture of responsibility and accountability
Rigorous risk management and safety practices
Strong stakeholder engagement and early community involvement
What we do
Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS)
CCUS is an essential part of the solution to reduce emissions from hard-to-abate industries like cement and steel. Our projects are designed to be economically viable, operationally efficient, and built with integrity for both the environment and the communities we serve.
Our End-to-End CCUS Process

Capture
Removing CO₂ directly from industrial processes.

Transport
Safely moving captured CO₂ to storage sites.

Storage
Injecting CO₂ into secure geological formations for permanent storage.

Utilisation
Exploring ways to convert captured CO₂ into valuable products.
Why CCUS Matters
Hard to abate industries are significant CO2 emitters. For example: cement production alone is responsible for 8% of global CO2 emissions.
Most industrial emissions are located within 100 km of geological storage sites.
CCUS is one of the few technologies that can reduce co2 in high volumes against an economically viable cost.
Our Projects
Greenpulse - Murcia CCS Hub
Greenpulse
Greenpulse is the first onshore carbon capture and storage (CCS) project of its kind in Southern Europe. It connects regional CO₂ sources to a secure geological storage site, helping meet the European Commission’s 2050 climate-neutrality goals.
- Location: Murcia, Spain
- Capacity: ~40 million tons of CO₂
- Status: Exploration phase underway; investigative phase complete by 2026
- Consortium: Leading European partners with proven track records in CCUS, including SINTEF, Técnicas Reunidas, Baker Hughes, Enagás, and Grupo Cox.
Why Murcia
- One of Spain’s most significant CO₂-emitting industrial hubs
- Optimal geological conditions for safe, permanent storage

Why Carboncause
We Are the Orchestrator
Carboncause brings together every element required for a successful CCUS project and manages them as one coordinated system.
- Site Identification: Locating and permitting safe geological storage sites.
- Community Engagement: Collaboration from the start.
- Contract Security: Partnering with emitters to secure CO₂ supply and secure carbon credit contracts.
- Coordination: Working with engineering and technology leaders.
- Technology Scaling: Using advanced monitoring and characterization tools.
We work with world-class partners, including:
